What to check before you buy
Clear, honest answers on compatibility, activation, refunds, payments and support from Saudi eSIM.
Device compatibility
Travel eSIMs work on eSIM-compatible phones that are carrier-unlocked, most iPhones from the XR/XS (2018) onward and recent Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and other flagship models. If your phone is locked to a carrier or has no eSIM support, the plan will not install. Check your device before buying.
Unlocked-phone requirement
Your phone must be unlocked. A device locked to a home carrier cannot use a third-party eSIM. If you are unsure, your carrier can confirm your unlock status.
When to install and activate
Install the eSIM before you travel, while you have WiFi. Most plans activate on first connection to a network at your destination (or after a fixed window). Validity then counts down from that point, so install early but switch the line on when you arrive.
Data-only, calls and SMS
Plans are data-only. They do not include a local phone number, and they do not carry traditional voice calls or SMS. You keep your own number on your primary SIM, and you can call and message over the internet using WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram and similar apps.
Refund eligibility
You can request a refund for an unused eSIM before it is installed/activated. Once an eSIM has been activated and used, it generally cannot be refunded. If an eSIM installs but will not connect after you arrive, contact support, the team will resolve it or refund where the fault is on Saudi eSIM's side. See the full refund policy for details.
If activation fails
If your eSIM installs but does not connect at your destination, the usual fixes are: enable data roaming for the eSIM line, set it as the active data line, and toggle airplane mode. If it still fails, contact support and the team will diagnose it or refund where appropriate.
Payment security
Payments are processed by established, PCI-compliant payment providers. Card details are handled by the payment processor and are never stored on our servers. Cryptocurrency payments are processed through a regulated gateway.
Privacy & KYC
Buying an eSIM needs only an email address to deliver your QR code; guest checkout means no account is required. Some destinations may require identity verification (KYC) to comply with local SIM-registration laws, where that applies it is clearly indicated at checkout.
Support & escalation
Support is available 24/7 via live chat on every page, usually answering within about a minute. If an issue is not resolved in chat, it is escalated to the team and tracked until it is fixed or refunded.
